Monoblock Filling and Capping Machine for Mini Hand Sanitizer bottles in Pucks at 300 upm (ATEX rated Filler).
Oriented snap-on caps. Cap inspection via camera (ATEX rated installation) and orientation is performed by the capping stations according to the pre-set pattern.
What was Client's need?
Filling small doses is always a challenge because expected filling accuracy is written in hundredths of a millimeter. All operations must be monitored correctly, the smallest movement or delay can impact dramatically in the machine efficieny. Specially at 300 upm.
How did Mengibar solve it?
Mengibar ‘Smart Flow Control’ and ‘Enhanced Accuracy’ were the key to succeed. Standard deviation (sigma) of 0,15 grams from the first bottle to the last of one, including microstops.
Concerning the Capping Orienting Heads and in order to simplify the ATEX installation, Mengibar replaced the most conventional solution (servomtors) by pneumatic motion that don’t require a slip ring installed in the capping carousel. Process was reduced significantly and therefore ROI was finally very attractive.
