The project involved developing a Filling and Capping for corrosive products with protection against corrosive products like chlorine bleach and highly foaming descaling detergent.
The Monoblock was designed to operate at a nominal speed of 150 units per minute.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was effectively filling, capping, and handling these corrosive products while maintaining efficiency and versatility in the packaging process. This also meant considering the simultaneous filling of two different-colored products for alternate packaging, as per the customer’s requirements.
How did Mengibar solve it?
Mengibar addresses these challenges by equiping the filler module with two separate product tanks made of superior anti-corrosive material. This innovative feature enables bottles to be simultaneously filled with two different colors of corrosive products, significantly enhancing efficiency and versatility in the end-of-line packaging process.
The Filling and Capping for corrosive products was constructed using materials with superior corrosion resistance. This included the base frame, all components in direct contact with the corrosive product, infeed and outfeed conveyors, sorters, and safety guarding.
